My god yes, I know how lucky I am. Not just that I have cute girls all over the place that want to talk to me, though there certainly ain't nothing wrong with that. But simply that I can now sort of truly kinda honestly accept the fact that there are a lot of people out there who like me and want to be around me. And it's new for me, being ok with that.

A lot of my self-image used to be tied up in the idea of being sort of unlikeable. Like a faith in that would protect me from something. Some sort of disappointment. Disappointments came and went, but it never had anything to do with what other people thought about me. I was never simple or dumb, but there have been times in my life when I might as well have been.

I think I'm pretty good now. I've got the friends I deserve now. I like that.
